January exams are you ...

Revised up and ready
Thinking that you can never do enough preparation
Wanting to get them out of the way
Dreading them
Hibernating until February

Watching

6th December 2010

They watched as it brimmed;
Bubbling and burning, a cauldron of
Words, promises, lies, threats, discussions, arguments,
And actions taken.

We watched as the spark spread, igniting the world,
As the storm descended, chaos roamed,
Attack and defence, attack again.
The posters billowing in the winds,
Khaki the latest trend,
Masculine prominence dissolving,
Tactic talks between officials,
Feathers scarring the silent spectators.

I watched as the news came.
I watched as they mourned their loss.
I watched as they failed to return.

I watched as the world went to war,
An impassive observer.
I am watching still.
